Customer feedback on the new Advance Performance programme from Promed
"Carlton Clinic's highest priority for the last three decades has been providing the best quality care to our 20,000 patients. We demand high quality equipment and supplies to match the expertise of our staff. We have an excellent relationship with Promed, who have supplied us with products and services over the past 25 years.
When Promed announced the Promed Advance package, we were delighted to avail of the opportunity to renew all our equipment. Niall and Paddy checked and labelled every piece of equipment in the room and provided a detailed Asset Register. We barely realised they were in the practice on the day but afterwards we realised how busy they had been! With nine general practitioners and four practice nurses all busy in our surgery, it's important that the right equipment is in its proper place in every room and that any item which is borrowed is restored after use. Having the equipment catalogued in each room by both label and serial number allows us to keep the surgery tidy.
We identified a few pieces of equipment which we expect to replace over the coming years and set a plan in place for renewals and maintenance. it gives me peace of mind as a practice manager to know that these will be taken care of, whilst keeping well within the practice's equipment budget. We reviewed our consumable spend and Aidan offered some helpful tips on how to reduce our costs. By tracking the consumables using the barcode reader, we can reduce the time taken up on regular stock taking and we will know when we need to re-order our most commonly used products online.
Perhaps the best part of the Promed Advance package is that it encourages us to use out equipment to the full, both because of the handy manuals included in our Promed Advance pack and also through training given when new equipment is installed onsite. We are now looking forward to producing patient literature in conjunction with Promed, to support our screening and generate income - so that our patients as well as our practice can get the best from our equipment."
